Our Philosophy

Fly Food

Vision

This is the vision that guides our business and which we wish to share, so that those who choose us do so knowing something about us, and above all to be able to meet others who think like us in order to work alongside them.

At Flyfood, we ...

  • Want to be an innovative catering company that creates services in which the food and setting are created with the goal of creating emotions and empathy with the guests.
  • We aim to offer nutritionally balanced foods from our culinary tradition, using carefully selected ingredients.
  • We want to place a strong focus on environmental sustainability, food intolerances and reducing food waste.
  • We want to achieve a corporate style based on transparency, propriety and respect for customers, employees and ourselves.
  • We want to build a merit-based corporate model with the goal of training our employees and allowing them to grow.
  • We want to establish partnerships with partners who wish to contribute to the development of these shared values.

Values

Respect

The first of our values: respect for people, local territory, and the environment.

Respect is the first of our values and translates to the attention we pay to what we serve and how we serve it, but above all to respect for the people with whom we work: customers, partners, suppliers and stakeholders.

Quality

Not just quality of ingredients, but quality of life.

One, No One and One Hundred Thousand. Our quality is for all and for all numbers. Not just quality of ingredients, but quality of life, which passes through nutritionally balanced food offerings to guarantee satisfaction and well-being to our guests.

Innovation

Unconventional solutions to amaze the mind and palate.

We anticipate fashions and trends to offer unconventional solutions. For this reason, food and settings are designed with the goal of amazing both mind and palate, allowing our customers to communicate in an innovative manner through food itself.

Sharing

For us, working together as a team is a mantra.

For us, working together as a team is a mantra. Teamwork brings together passion and skill to provide the best possible result. We love sharing all this with our partners to develop values and support talent and start-ups in the sector.

Culture

Tales of food, peoples and traditions, through gastronomic journeys.

Our great passion for cooking has encouraged us to make our services into an opportunity to tell stories about food, about peoples, cultures and traditions which involve the guests in a journey which is initially cultural, and then gastronomic.

Our Choices

Right from the get-go we established pillars which we will never renounce, as they are an essential part of our core make-up and values

Careful selection of ingredients

Our company was founded in one of the most famous food valleys in the world – Piedmont’s Langhe region – and we have always focused obsessively on the search for and selection of each individual ingredient making up our culinary offerings. We know that this is a key element in achieving results which are genuine and at the same time refined.

Regions and Seasons

We prioritise products which are grown or made in our local area, the Langhe region, because we know their origins and their producers.

We choose to serve dishes which use seasonal ingredients that follow the time frames dictated by nature, and also guarantee the best possible taste and nutrition for the dishes they are used in, as well as limiting environmental impact.

Focus on Health

Our kitchen works alongside a nutritionist, and together they choose to offer high-quality, well-rounded menus with a particular focus on balanced nutrition.

We pay particular attention to all food intolerances, from gluten and wheat to eggs and dairy, offering menus which everyone can enjoy without health risks.

Social Responsability

We focus on more than just ourselves

We are aware of the impact that our choices can have. This is why we are committed to working with methods that can improve the society and environment in which we live.

Respect for People

More than 70 people work with us: over 75% of them are aged between 18 and 30, while the “older” ones have an average age of 38.

All are offered contracts, on-call or permanent, in accordance with applicable labour legislation.

This allows us to guarantee stability and life planning to our employees, and a high level of service to our customers.

All personnel are guaranteed continuous professional development, with training inside the company and from external providers.

We have set in motion People Welfare programs which offer employees access to personal health insurance plans and training contributions.

Respect for the Environment

We run a net-zero-impact plant. We produce electricity with our solar panels which fully covers our demand. Atmospheric emissions are composed entirely of water vapour.

We have created a structured waste management station to ensure all waste is sorted correctly at all times.

We promote the choice of Mater-Bi and PLA tableware, made with materials which are completely biodegradable and compostable.

We are Fundraisers

We promote and participate in charity programs by organising fundraising dinners and participating in events for the benefit of local charities.

Since 2016 we have been working alongside Banco Alimentare and Equoevento in the FOOD for GOOD project, which aims to make use of and prevent the waste of excess food from events.

From meeting to solidarity

Food for Good

Coffee breaks and meals during conventions, congresses and other events are a pleasant moment spent in company, where flavour, high quality and abundance take leading roles, but can also lead to food waste.

This uneaten food can be donated to good causes easily and safely.

For this reason, we chose to partner with the FOOD for GOOD project alongside Banco Alimentare and Equoevento to make it possible to recover and make use of excess food from our catering services for events and conventions.

We organise the recovery with the Banco Alimentare and Equoevento organisation, who deliver it to charity organisations (shelters, canteens and centres for refugees) who support people in need.

We also feel that, in addition to this work itself, it is important to let people know about it in order to create widespread social awareness which increases focus on the topic of food waste.

FROM WASTE TO RESOURCES

“Circular” Catering

The circular economy is the economic model of the future which must necessarily also involve the food sector. In this vision, the Circular Kitchen represents a goal which we need to fully meet in our social and business vision for this sector.

“What others call waste, for us is resources for new creations”

This is the slogan we used to launch our project to become a CIRCULAR CATERING FIRM.

We did so with concrete steps, adding our “circular” recipes to our menus and carrying out research into recyclable packaging such as hemp-based bioplastic and biodegradable algae-based packaging.
